Nascida para solucionar um desafio real! A ideia surgiu durante um surto de uma doença altamente contagiosa, em África, aquando da necessidade em repatriar um colega médico contaminado. Criada e desenvolvida com a contribuição e orientação directa de especialistas clínicos, médicos e pacientes. Este esforço colaborativo resultou no premiado EpiShuttle da EpiGuard AS.
UM EQUIPAMENTO DE TRANSPORTE - PARA SEGURANÇA DO PACIENTE E DA TRIPULAÇÃO
Um equipamento único que transporta o paciente da origem até ao destino, por via terrestre, aérea e marítima, permitindo o transbordo fácil e seguro entre os diferentes meios de transporte, na mesma missão. Mantendo as várias equipas intervenientes protegidas do risco de contágio. Reduzindo o custo das operações em termos de uso de material e recursos humanos, i.e. poupança em EPIs, desinfectantes e gestão mais eficiente do tempo de limpeza, tornando os veículos de transporte mais rapidamente prontos para uma nova missão.
TRATAMENTO EM TRANSPORTE
O paciente pode ser tratado através dos 8 acessos directos, permitindo que a equipa médica administre o tratamento durante o transporte sem perigo de contágio.
CUIDADOS INTENSIVOS
O EpiShuttle está equipado com acessos técnicos para passar linhas de oxigénio, linhas IV e cabos de monitorização, bem como fornecer ventilação mecânica ao paciente.
REUTILIZÁVEL
O EpiShuttle é simples de limpar e desinfectar para estar pronto a ser utilizado múltiplas vezes. O seu design inovador permite que seja integralmente desmontado e montado sem ferramentas, em poucas horas.
CONFORTO SUPERIOR DO PACIENTE
O conforto do paciente foi um forte critério na concepção do EpiShuttle. O colchão macio na estrutura ajustável, facilita o melhor conforto das pernas e costas do paciente, permitindo ainda melhores condições para os procedimentos clínicos. A parte superior do EpiShuttle é rígida e completamente transparente, para uma comunicação mais nítida entre a equipa médica e o paciente.

A EpiShuttle tem marca-CE como Dispositivo Médico de Classe 1 e tem conformidade EN 1789 para utilização segura em ambulâncias, helicópteros e aviões.
SISTEMA DUPLO DE PROTECÇÃO
O ambiente interior da EpiShuttle pode operar em ‘pressão negativa’ ou ‘pressão positiva’. Estas modalidades, opostas, servem para proteger o ambiente exterior do paciente contagiado ou para proteger o paciente vulnerável ao contacto com o ambiente exterior.

Born to solve a real-world challenge! The idea was sparked on the ground during a highly contagious outbreak in Africa, with the repatriation of a contaminated medical colleague. Created and developed with direct input and guidance by clinical experts, medics and patients. This collaborative endeavor resulted in the award winning EpiShuttle by EpiGuard AS.
ONE DEVICE - PATIENT AND CREW SAFETY
One single medical device to transport a patient from the origin to the destination by land, air and sea, allowing for the simple and safe transfers during the same assignment. Thus keeping the various active crews safe from contamination and reducing operational costs with regard to material and HR resources, i.e. savings on PPEs, disinfectants and more efficient handling of cleaning as well as reducing the down time of the crews and the transport vehicles needed to get ready for the next assignment.
ON-SITE MEDICAL CARE
The patients may be treated through direct access from the 8 access ports allowing the medical team to administer treatment during transport without compromise.
INTENSIVE CARE
To avoid direct exposure for the medics while they monitor, medicate and treat the patient, the EpiShuttle is equipped with medical ports for connecting IV and oxygen lines, monitoring cables, as well as providing mechanical ventilation to the patient.
REUSABLE
The EpiShuttle is simple to clean and disinfect for multiple usage, it’s innovative design enables the device to be totally dismantled and assembled without the use of tools in a few hours.
SUPERIOR PATIENT COMFORT
Optimal patient comfort was a strong criteria in the design, soft mattress on an adjustable bed for better leg and back comfort which also results in better conditions for clinical procedures.The transparent hardtop allows for better medic/patient communication.
CLASS 1 MEDICAL DEVICE (CE)
EpiShuttle is CE-marked as Class 1 Medical Device with EN 1789 compliance to be safely used in ambulances, helicopters and airplanes.
DUAL PROTECTION SYSTEM
Internal negative or positive pressure is available to protect the environment from the patient or the vulnerable patient from the surrounding environment.
